// The Mission
THE SEND exists to mobilise and activate a generation into their missional and evangelistic calling. It was born out of the prayer movement of The Call. After a catalytic gathering called Azusa Now, a collaboration of leaders came together to found THE SEND.
The vision was for a gathering where success was not the number gathered, but the number activated to reach one of five key mission fields

Our Story
The Send is a global movement that has gathered hundreds of thousands of believers all over the world.
Since 2021 Christian leaders from across Aotearoa New Zealand have been praying, listening, and discerning how The Send could serve the Church in this nation.
Throughout this process, there has been a strong sense that the heart of The Send aligns with what God is already doing across our nation—calling believers to live on mission in their everyday lives.
In 2024 we worked together to run 35 The Send New Zealand gatherings across the nation. All culminating at a nationwide event at Mystery Creek on 23 November. In total more than 17,800 believers gathered around Jesus and the great commission that year and 3500 committed to missional action.
Because of the hunger of youth and young adults in New Zealand for God, we believe it is time to go again and run Send gatherings but in a different way. This is WHY Send Nights are happening, because a generation wants to see Jesus impact those around them.
IT IS TIME TO GO!

Statement of Faith
The Send is a collaborative, global coalition of Jesus followers, dedicated to the fulfilment of the great commission. We are centred on the Gospel, equipping then sending a global force of messengers to relationally deliver the Gospel message to every person in the world – this is the sound of “GO.”
These statements signify our belief and what we stand for. We work through the power of unity with those who share these beliefs and with the global Church to remain solely focused on ensuring the world knows Jesus.
“But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” – Romans 10:14 (NLT)
We believe that:
The Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative word, revealing that Jesus Christ is God’s son.
People are created in God’s image;
He created us to have eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Although all people have sinned and come short of God’s glory, God has made salvation possible through the death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Repentance, faith, love and obedience are fitting responses to God’s initiative of grace towards us.
God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth;
The Holy Spirit’s power is demonstrated in and through us for the accomplishment of Christ’s last commandment to go into all the world.
